- Business Analyst - Tableau Specialist
- Day rate contract
- Hybrid working – 4 days onsite in Dublin
Job Scope:
This role would be ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, using advanced data visualization tools to enable decision-making while also being comfortable with technical tasks like data modeling and SQL querying. The ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership is critical, as is the flexibility to adapt dashboards and reports to changing business requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Lead projects like the Asset Catalog, working with the Infrastructure Data Engineering team.
- Gather, translate, and document business requirements, ensuring they align with technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify their needs and provide analytical solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable format.
Tableau Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Tableau dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into visualizations that provide actionable insights.
- Continuously optimize and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports to meet evolving business needs.
Data Engineering:
- Support data engineering tasks such as refining data models to ensure they meet the needs of the visualizations.
- Work with large datasets using SQL, and perform data manipulations as necessary to support dashboard development.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Tableau Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Tableau, including dashboard creation, data modelling, and creating sophisticated visualizations.
- Business Analysis: Proven experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying large datasets.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
