IT Search are partnering with a global leader in wireless sensing systems to recruit an Embedded Systems Architect for their rapidly growing team in Dublin.

This role is ideal for professionals with a background in medical devices, combining architecture design with hands-on project management in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

This role provides a unique opportunity to translate customer requirements into detailed system requirements, establish architecture, and lead system integration and testing for prototypes. You’ll work on cutting-edge devices, contributing to high-level technical planning, risk management, and process enhancements while ensuring compliance with medical device regulations, including FDA and CE standards.

In this role, you will:

- Define system architecture, perform functional analysis, and establish risk management plans.
- Manage documentation for regulatory submissions, lead FMEA on system level, and ensure traceability across requirements and test cases.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

What you need:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years in embedded software development
- Proficiency in C/C++ and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
- Knowledge of medical standards (ISO 13485 etc.)
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers and experience with hardware-software integration.

Desirable Experience:

- Experience with Class C medical devices and regulatory submissions.
- Familiarity with wireless communication, cybersecurity, and test automation (Python).
- Experience in unit testing and schematic understanding.
