Microservices Developer (Contract), Dublin

About the Role
Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). Build containerized applications, optimize performance, and implement CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative environment.

*6 month contract expected to roll 
*Daily rate 400-425 per day
*Hybrid to office in Central Dublin

Responsibilities

- Develop microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Manage and deploy applications using OCP and containerization tools.
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability of applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adhere to best coding practices.

Requirements

- 5+ years in microservices development.
- Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), Java, and Springboot.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and service mesh (e.g., Istio).
- Strong CI/CD and DevOps skills, including GitOps.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and security best practices.

Preferred

- Red Hat certifications and experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms and database technologies like Oracle Exadata.
